WHat didn't work

I was just trying to follow their tutorial to build an external, basically I followed the steps exactly, compiled the external using xCode and that worked fine, but the liking to a stack didn't work. Calling the external gives an error. My guess is the path to the external is incorrect from xCode, b...

Built a successful external?

Has anyone out there (outside of the company) actually created an extension for Revolution? I tried following the tutorial with no luck and haven't been able to get real technical support from RunRev without paying for consulting/support. I don't think a registered user should have to pay for suppor...

Revolution Scrollbars and WIndows?

I am developing an application that will control a piece of hardware, and have designed a modal dialog box for setting values of certain parameters for the device. I am attaching two screenshots, one from the Mac where all is great, and one from the compiled Windows standalone. The sliders don't sho...

Thanks for your post, Mark! Does anyone know of an available MIDI external for Revolution? I used to use HyperMIDI with Hypercard in the old days, but that stopped working when OMS became the leading way to communicate via MIDI. Given that Mac and Windows now have MIDI support at the core OS, you'd ...

Access MIDI hardware?

I'm looking for a way to poll available drivers for MIDI interfaces, or just to send MIDI data over USB from within Revolution. I am building an application that needs to talk to a specialized hardware device via MIDI system exclusive (SYSEX) messages. I am at the point where I am successfully compi...

Mac OS 10.5 and screen redraws

Thanks! This was very helpful info, especially since (of course) I am using metal as the stack BG. I'll insert the scripts and hopefully that will get me through until the next rev. The app I am creating will be in the works for a while...

Mac OS 10.5 and screen redraws

Has anybody experienced a problem running Revolution Studio under Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard)? Every time a new window opens the previous stack window goes blank and I need to change between pointer and browse tools in order to get the screen to redraw. This has only started to happen since upgrading to L...
