First: shout out to Klaus who took the time...
Second: I am mostly relieved that this is not a silly beginner error. Could there be a bug?

Re: datagrid problem..
And, even curiouser. I can send a mouseUp message to an invisible button on the main card that does the extraction, puts the data into a field, and then put the contents of that hidden field where I want it. It's as if the menu script cannot 'see' the grid, all of a sudden... no, that's not true, th...

Re: datagrid problem..
Thank you Klaus.. I tried your suggestion, no joy Then, from within the menu script, I put a line in answer theIndexes and the indicate are correct. So, I surmise that the menu can 'see' the data grid, but cannot pull the contents.. yes the script works fine outside of the menu Real;ly annoyingly, t...

datagrid problem..
Good day all - rank amateur here.. I have a datagrid table, and this script extracts the data to a variable pepList. All well and good, but the problem I have is that this code works from a button, but doesn't work from a menu item, in the same application. I have pasted, verbatim, the code from a b...

Re: Trapping and using keypresses
Sorry Craig, I was trying to be efficient. Yes there are some global variable sand other components surrounding this script. The key line is put "Event:" && theKey && keyTime/1000 & return after field "Data" this no longer directs keypresses at the relevant field (unlocked) but sends the presses to ...

Trapping and using keypresses
Hello all, I have a program that is used to allow my biologist colleagues to watch animal behaviour videos and record the time and nature of 'behaviours' by a simple app that allows them to start record/capture key presses/check for specific keys/end recording/save file It has worked well for years,...

Can't unisntall under Vista
I have Rev 2.8.0 installed under Vista, and I want to upgrde to 2.8.1. There are reasons to want to delete/uninstall 2.8.0 before hand, but Vista tells me that I do not have enough privileges! I am logged on as Adminstrator - I didn't think there was a higher level! What superpowers can I expect? Se...
