just thought i would follow this up in case anyone else has the same problem.

I have found the fault. It is the latest Nvidia Graphics drivers for my 8800 GTX card. I have moved back a couple of releases to the 97.94 drivers and the problem has been resolved.

To be honest i dont think Revolution is directly at fault. I have installed it on a different PC and it works as expected.

The problem must be on my PC somewhere. I just hoped someone else might have had the same issue. I guess i dont really want to re-install XP ...

i have just purchased and installed Revolution Studio 2.8.1 build 470.
I am running windows xp pro with all the updates.
As far as i can tell everything seems to work fine except for one thing.

As soon as i drag a quicktime player object on to the stack, Revolution closes. No error messages ...
