Re: iOS App being rejected straight after upload - Invalid I
Hi Looking into this issue further, in addition to the icon files there is also a need to include the names of these icon files in the info.plist contained in the App bundle. Unfortunately I cannot see a way of doing this because LC creates the info.plist file and others at build time. This is also ...

Re: iOS App being rejected straight after upload - Invalid I
Hi Apple may have "jumped the gun" with their email. We submitted an App update for iPad on 1 Sept and did not receive the email you refer to. LC is not yet iOS 7 ready as far as I know. However, as LC generates the icons at build time from those you identify within the iOS settings pane, a possible...

Re: Submitting to Apple... at what size ?
Dixie What size did you build them at 1024 x 768... or 2048 x 1536? Has anyone suffered a rejection from submitting their iPad app to Apple at 1024 x 768? Apps are easier to develop for the two iPad variants compared to the three sizes needed for iPhone. You are OK to create an App for the 1024 x 76...

Re: Community edition options
Colleagues It would of course be better to have built in platform-specific objects and hopefully we'll see them eventually.Gerry With the preview of iOS 7 the whole interface design has changed some aspects will be easier to "hand-craft" but Gerry is right - platform-specific would be great to take ...

LC 5.5.5 is already released and fixes the issue so uploads via iTunes Connect are back on track.

Presentation at RunRevLive.13
Malte Thanks for your presentation at the Edinburgh conference this last week about Animated User Interfaces. I caught up with this via an online recording as part of a Kickstarter reward. Your presentation provided some useful insights into the way you have developed and utilised Animation Engine t...

Re: Uploaded app is too large
Colleagues Reducing the file size for uploading Apps is another interesting development from Apple - a bit rich when you see how massive their own Apps actually are!! For the iPad on the App Store, Pages is listed as 257 MB, Numbers as 256 MB, Keynote at 319 MB, iMovie at 496 MB and GarageBand at a ...

Re: Non-public API usage!
Andres When can we expect the update to version 6? The latest information from RR via the quality forum suggests there will be update releases for versions 5.5.4 (to 5.5.5) and 6.0.1 (to 6.0.2). Currently undergoing internal testing so I guess it could be next week sometime. Hope this is helpful. Dave

Re: Non-public API usage!
Colleagues The App builds appear to be rejected by Apple from all versions of commercial LC and is clearing having a negative impact on a number of folk around the world. Certainly it is frustrating and knocks confidence! Obviously Apple changed their screening process and LC ran foul of this. As re...

Re: Non-public API usage!
Paul I have just received the same error message from Apple. I submitted the app (built with LC 5.5.4) about a month ago and it was accepted, but my first upgrade, submitted today, was rejected. Hope this gets solved soon. Things never stand still long enough it seems!! As mentioned earlier, I will ...

Non-public API usage!
Colleagues There seems to be other changes in the App screening process after uploading binaries. Just uploaded a new version of one of our apps via iTunes Connect and received an email which included the following message: "Non-public API usage: Apps are not permitted to access the UDID and must no...

Re: iphoneUseDeviceResolution throws error
Hi The clue appears in the error message and focuses on the line with the iphoneDeviceScale(). Try replacing the string "2" with just the ordinal number 2 as shown in the code below: on openStack if iphoneDeviceScale() is 2 then -- note the end of the if statement line should end with "then" iphoneU...
