Linux Requirements for Graphical Effects

Hello Community

We are coding with the newest Livecode Version and try to Run a File on Linux (Debian 2.6.32-35).
We installed as told:
apt-get install xorg
apt-get install emacs (for the fonts)

But, what else do we need for smooth Card Dissolves? They dont blend verry nice.
