Re: Livecode is getting behind competition...
The Corona SDK & lua are quite ahead when it comes to app development for games. You mention a simple text editor, but have you seen coronoprojectmanager.com? Probably not. Even Notepad++ is quite capable. Corona SDK is a great alternative to learning java or x code. For business apps, I'm not sure....

Re: Can LiveCode Install on Android SD card only?
I ran across this on another website, might help you out, or it might not ;) Keep in mind that if the external sd is full or doesn't have enough room it'll use internal. Whether or not LC supports this ... I don't know. Check out your manifest file and try adding something similar near the top. <and...

Re: Is LiveCode for Android ready for prime time?
With all of the news about Android developers being in DEMAND and surpassing iOS developers in 2012, you'd think that RR would get Android working like it should. ..., until then I'll continue learning Java / Eclipse. It's free. Yep, that's why I chose Android. I had warning bells going of in me he...

With all of the news about Android developers being in DEMAND and surpassing iOS developers in 2012, you'd think that RR would get Android working like it should. Like others I'm still in a holding pattern and haven't departed with my lovely cash! Once LC for Android is up to snuff I'll gladly pay t...

Re: Is LiveCode for Android ready for prime time?
Thanks for the response jacque, GPS not being implemented yet is a huge negative for me, considering that one of the apps that I want to do will require GPS. Sounds like other apps that I have in mind will be fine though. javiergarciaes, I ran across a link on here of one android app that was create...

Re: Is LiveCode for Android ready for prime time?
After reading several posts on runrev it seems that LiveCode for Android is NOT ready for Prime Time. I'll keep checking and perhaps update this post when it appears to be ready for Prime Time.

Is LiveCode for Android ready for prime time?
Is LiveCode for Android ready for prime time? Are updates frequent? Just asking a question, I'm debating between purchasing LiveCode for Android or using Corona. Perhaps someone that's good with both could give some feedback on both. Updated: lots of views no responses so I added to my question. Upd...

Web deployment
I'm having a tough time wrapping my head around this. I'm wanting to learn LC and create a web app, will users have to use a plugin or can I upload the files to my own server and no plugin is required. Using a plugin is a huge turnoff. What about using on-rev, will users need to download the plugin?...
