Re: [ANN] Web App Backend As A Service
Hi Richard, No, not built on Nextcloud. Re: Demo URL. Purposefully didn't include one. I am providing further information to those who reach out directly and can show a genuine need or possibility of need for what we have to offer. I have mulled over the wording for this for a bit and hopefully it r...

[ANN] Web App Backend As A Service
Following some recent discussions, thought I'd reach out here more broadly so others are aware. We have a generic backend web app (generic by design) that is readily configurable to complete your overall software solution offering or indeed if you are a consultant assisting business or education wit...

Re: NFC Write (and iOS would be nice)
Hi @allengwinn, As I mentioned above: "In lots of use cases NFC will become the new QR code" Only a matter of time. Sadly had to do my project in another technology as LC only supports read on Android :-( I potentially have some other projects coming up that need it so would also like to see this (R...

Re: Android App Bundle (.aab) Format is getting enforced
Thought I'd provide an update on this. The recent response from LC is that they're busy finishing the work to support .aab. Despite being told that it'd be ready by the required date it is not a good sign that it wasn't. I also suggested that they put some comms out abt this. Unless I missed it don'...

I wanted to add a voice to the QA report but couldn't. Should credentials be the same between forum and the QA pages ?
Emailed support to ask anyways

Re: Limitations of Dynamically Executing Script in LC
Great thanks very much. I also found examples for downloading a stack from a server and also from the local file system in Lessons so will have a play later tonight after work (I'm based in Oz). Out of interest, does a stack have to have the .livecode extension or would go stack "/.../myfile.blah" w...

Re: Limitations of Dynamically Executing Script in LC
The rest of the world just calls them document files, but by any name if you need to move files between two instances of an app LC files can do that as easily as anything else. The only difference is that LC files are cooler than other apps' files. :) But that's it. Edit, save, transfer - just like...

Re: Limitations of Dynamically Executing Script in LC
But I still want to know why such an exercise is useful. In other words, what does creating a new control with a preset script do that running that script from the original handler would not? Are you creating new controls for the user? Hi Craig, It is for changing the app without the need to recomp...
