WOW! This is the best forum I have been part of! Thank you very much for all your help! I hope I get to the point that I can contribute to help people, too! I am a long time Adobe(wished it had still been Macromedia) Director. Livecode is very similar but still enough differences that it takes me a ...

Scrolling Large Image
Hello again, I have a project that is using a large screen and a touchscreen. On the touchscreen I am trying to have a small version of an image with a "viewing box". When you move the viewing box around on the small image it shows a "zoomed" area of the area where the viewing box is located on the ...

Circular Audio Progress bar
Hello everyone, I am currently working on an audio playback controller. The customer is wanting what appeared to be a simple progress circle. But I am drawing a blank on how to even start this. It basically just fills the color of the stroke of the circle in sync with the audio playback time. Is the...

Re: Images in databases
I do understand that they are binary but when I try to store them in a variable to send to my database it won't send it and when I look at what is being sent on message it just puts the number 1. So what would be the best way to do this?

Images in databases
What is the best way to get an image converted to binary in order to store it in a database. I tried taking and getting the image data of an image and then converting it to binary but it got really slow and I know it shouldn't be doing that. I'm using livecode 9 on a Mac with a SQL database. To conv...

Losing connection to a local database
I have been working with the database for the past two days. The first day I had no trouble creating tables and routing to the database I shut down livecode. Opened it back up today and now I get a error on trying to connect to the database. I have not changed anything or moved anything around any r...

Re: Playing Videos in Windows 10
Thank you, Sparkout. I did install the K-Lite codecs and reboot. It plays the mp4s but it wasnt consistent. It also was lagging. I decided to go with mpeg2s because they seem to be more friendly to livecode. During the process I also rethought the way I was handling the videos. I originally had them...
