Limiting Levels

After importing over 200 images (most 72x72) they each reside on separate levels (as expected). Any efficiency gained by reassigning them to a more limited number of levels? (Say 10 levels?)

Re: HyperCard Serial Toolkit

Thanks Andrew All the graphic resources are developed. A snapshot here. (Probably won't make sense unless you dipped into the HyperCard files posted 2016.) Just beginning to script some functionality. It's going to be a long process! The HC project required 12 stacks of scripts and externals. Maybe ...

Re: best practice regarding behavior references?

changing the label is enough.
Yes! This is a good and simple solution.

...when I got into LC a couple months ago, had fairly frequent crashes with 8. Seldom have crashes with 7.1.4 but couple times a day I duplicate and advance the version number. (Going forward, by label only.)

Thanks for help.

Re: best practice regarding behavior references?

Just seems like there would be a better way than: on openStack setMatrixBtnsBehavior setTileBtnBehavior end openStack on setMatrixBtnsBehavior repeat with x = 1 to 117 set the behavior of btn ("x"&x) to the long ID of btn "matrixBtnBehavior" end repeat end setMatrixBtnBehavior on setTileBtnBehavior ...

best practice regarding behavior references?

Bet there's advice here but not finding...
Have behaviors linked to controls that need updating when I archive and change the name of my project. What's a smarter way of managing behavior descriptions?

Re: HyperCard Serial Toolkit

So, line 1 sends a readSerial() command to the PIC. I apologize Andrew! The PIC version was Windows app only and I did not write t...
