I appreciate the reply. :)

Revolution Doesn't Work With Aero Interface?

When ever I launch Revolution 3.0 or a program written in Revolution (ex. ScreenSteps) Vista changes to the Basic color scheme (saying the application is not compatible with the Aero interface.) Is this my computer or has Revolution not been updated to work correctly in Vista? I have only had this h...

I am in the process of learning Revolution but I use several different languages with on and off regularity (depends on the current job which is C# at the moment). These are the main ones: Assembly\C\C++\C#\VB 6\VB.NET\JavaScript\VBScript\Aurora\EBasic. Edit to Add: I also develop in Java using Ecli...

Mark, Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I went to check out the Window's Sound preferences and found those in particular weren't playing while other sounds were. I uninstalled the sound drivers and reinstalled them and everything's working. Thanks. BTW, do you know of a 3rd party grid c...

Mark,

Everything else makes noise. This appears to be the only application that doesn't. Unfortunately, I didn't try 2.7 on this computer before I installed the trial version of 3.0.

No Sound & Hello!

Hello, after buying Runtime Revolution 2.7 quite awhile ago (and never really making use of it) I've decided to check out Revolution 3.0 to see if there are many improvements. I am starting to go through tutorials but none of the QuickTime videos have sound and even the "beep" command makes no noise...

Re: Pulling data from an external file

Hello once again, Does Rev support an INI type external file structure? I want to pull information for an external file. [objectName] color=red highlighted=false Thanks Tom Tom, Coming from a Windows background I know what you are looking for. Windows has API's specifically for INI file access wher...

Thanks for the tips! I was gone most the day today but Friday night and yesterday I spent most the day playing around with it and installed Win XP Pro in Parallels. I still want to install it through Boot Camp as well but I am sure I'll have to call Microsoft to be able to re-activate it. I also hav...

Thanks, Obleo, it is something I will look into. I got the iMac today. I was set to get the $599 Mac Mini and finish off my credit card limit with it but to my surprise my dad gave my wife some money to help me get an iMac (1 gig RAM, 20" monitor.) I was overwhelmed and surprised. I also had enough ...

I really appreciate everyone's input. I'm going to CompUSA today after work with my wife. It looks like (with the help of my dad) I may have convinced her to get a better quality Mac rather than settling for the Mac Mini (which is not necessarily a bad computer.) We are trying to get out of debt (wh...

Thanks for the response.

Is the graphics card and RAM user upgradeable? I am worried about the 512MB limit and the poor 3D graphics performance. If I can upgrade it later maybe it wouldn't be that bad.
