Re: Fixing a search on a datagrid
I have a datagrid and I have a field that you can type in to filter the info in the datagrid as you type. This works fine, but I want it to work in reverse as well. If you have something typed in the search field and you backspace, I want it to fill back in the datagrid. Any ideas? Hi melhiatt, Thi...

Re: Selecting a row of data in a data grid
Thanks, I've been reading all evening and I'll see what I can do. I'm not coming from a previous language, just an end user. I did the summer academy, but that only scratched the surface and I'm finding it's hard to fill in all the holes. Thanks for your time!

Re: Fixing a search on a datagrid
This is my current code, someone helped me with it and they built in code for the deleting and backspacing, but that part doesn't work: on rawKeyUp pKeyCode --answer pKeyCode switch pKeyCode --if the user uses the backspace or delete key then the contents of the search field --will change, and we ne...

changing from a table to a datagrid
I have a table set up and want to switch to a datagrid. I have a filter set up in a field for my current table: filter field "info" with "*" & field "First" & "*"& tab & "*" that works great. When I change to a datagrid with the same name and try this code to filter: filter group "info" with "*" & f...

Re: Selecting a row of data in a data grid
I'm sorry to be such an uninformed newbie. Sometimes in the code that people post I have a hard time determining what are object names that people have created and what are predefined commands or words of code in LiveCode. My datagrid is named "MyDG", the card that it is on is "data", the card that ...

Selecting a row of data in a data grid
I have an app with my data in a datagrid. I want to be able to click on a record in the datagrid and have the app take me to a new "screen" (card) and have the information from the selected record appear in individual fields (just like in your phone contacts, when you tap on a record it takes you to...

Re: Oklahoma
My background is corporate training, I've taught all the Microsoft Office products at all levels, but have never done programming before (closest thing would be Microsoft Access). I've been a stay at home mom for the past several years. A friend had a couple of ideas for iPhone apps for homeschool m...
