Re: Meeting Sept 1 2016

I have to try this out. Maybe a little later today.
I have a few errands to run this morning but I will get to it this afternoon.
So, I should load this code into the On shiftMouseUp for the Load Martix2 button?
And, Thanks
I always like learning new code for doing things.

Meeting Sept 1 2016

I know that this was discussed at the August meeting, so I will attend the Sept. meeting. Richard, I'll have several things to ask about and will present the "Mostly Finished" project that I presented last meeting. I would also like Paul to have a heads up on His Book - I'll be looking forward to mo...

Re: IDE Preferences

I am using LC8 and that is why I am asking the question about having a preference to change the default Stack size.
Maybe this should be a request for an enhancement.
I know that when I create a new Stack I may be working on anything other than a 400 X 400 Stack size.

IDE Preferences

I would like to know how to change the preferences to allow me to change the New Stack options default to be the IPad, rather than the 400 X 400 size.

Richard,
Of course I'll be there.
I got an email from Paul and he doesn't think he will be there.

Re: Meeting: November 5, Pasadena

Richard, I am hoping that you will bring in your sample that you use showing how to call Scripts from a User Interface, that simulates how a multi-user application works. This was a discussion that we had on the phone. My contribution this time will be somewhat limited. But I have some question on t...

Re: Field Contents

I am thinking that, in my application, of moving the Devices table from a Mysql table to a text content or now maybe a custom property. It is not a file that is updated or modified very often. But there may be additions to it in the future. Thanks, I'll check it out. BTW I got the the program to run ...

Field Contents

There are times when using a database for data that is fairly static needs to be considered a little overkill. An option would be to place that information into the contents of the field. So, where is that data stored? How stable and reliable is that information? Are there practical limits on how mu...

Re: October 1 meeting, Pasadena

Thanks Jim.
This is a great suggestion.
I will keep everyone posted on how things are going.
I already tried the "filter" suggestion and it was GREAT!

Re: October 1 meeting, Pasadena

Thanks for the link to the thread, I will be reviewing it. I would like to thank all of the members for their input to my code. I actually tried one suggestion out using the "filter" command and it worked well. The next try will be the "replace" command. I will be placing a lot of time capturing rou...
