Hi all,
I've got a scrarched metal background.
I'd like to place text on the background that looks like its been etched in or chiseled in.
Anyone have a technique for LiveCode?
I thought I had addressed this topic before but can't find the post.

Re: Android Ready for Prime Time NOW??
Thanks Barry. This is really a ressurection of your old topic, and I was looking forward to hearing your response especially, since you always had the same Android support complaints that I had. I'm having another developer over this weekend, and we are going to plow into LiveCode together, specifi...

backKey and now searchKey and menuKey
Thank you RunRev. I was really missing being able to trap these hardware keys. Search button, Back Buttton, Menu Button on searchKey answer "You pressed the searchKey" end searchKey on backKey answer "You pressed the backKey" if the number of this card is 1 then pass backKey else go to the previous ...

Re: Android Ready for Prime Time NOW??
It is for me with my current needs. Well written all. I've only had 5.5 a few days. The first few things I wanted and upgraded for are there now after upgrading from 4.6.4. I hope to spend the next few weeks catching up with all the new features and falling in love with LiveCode. I'm hoping extrerna...

Re: New version 5.5 announced - free or fee?
I think it is time for the moderators to put a lock on this thread. Yeah, fair enough. Just fighting back. Trying to stop being a victim. Giving as well as I get. I did promise sales I'd be a good boy by posting positive and constructively. But I have to reserve the right to defend myself when I de...

Re: New version 5.5 announced - free or fee?
And another burtout bully snips back in. Are you the LC gatekeeper? I didn't get that memo. No song n dance. Seems you just remember the things you wanna bully about. Had to move, after considerable debate, to b4a for proof of concept project regarding GPS. Now that GPS(minus the Speed) is working w...

Re: New version 5.5 announced - free or fee?
... That last one is especially noteworthy, perhaps the strongest bullying in this thread yet. ... LOL. Now thats funny. It's my opinion that if you think that is bullying then you have no idea what bullying is. Thowing posts back at people and twisting everything they post against them is a form o...

Re: New version 5.5 announced - free or fee?
Lets stop the bullying. We all have as much right to post about wanting a better upgrade price as anyone else here. If someone can't get any response in one area they have the right to try another. Just because some poll hasn't recorded enough supporting votes doesn't mean its not a fantastic idea a...

Where to place "focus on nothing" on load to suppress KB?
Something to do with Focusable/TraverseOn
If I set all the textbox controls Focusable property to false,
the keyboard does NOT appear.
I wonder if I set them all off,
on openCard - Set focus to nothing,
then a timer after 1 seconds turns them all on?

ANSWERED: How Do I suppress KB popup on load?
My app always popsup with a keyboard on first load.
I've tried the 'focus on nothing' in a number of places.
But the keyboard keeps popping up.
Anyone have a technique to keep the keyboard from popping up on first app load?

LibUrl still not available in LC 5.5 for Android.
This line exits when executed on LiveCode 5.5 for Android.
put LibUrlFormData("action", "GPSLog", "username", username, "lat", Latitude, "lng", Longitude, "speed", speed) into tDataToBePosted
But works on Win32

Re: Anyone have a working LiveCode 5.5 GPS smpl app for Andr
Another GPS sample using the LC browser. Instead of retrieving a static map from google like the TickedOn project. Originaly posted by dixie. Updated to Android by me. Lots of nice reminders how well rounded LiveCode is. (Well if one knows how to use it properly that is. Meaning not me. ;) ) Orienta...
