Re: Geometry/Profile Manager on Mobile

I am one of those people who "One of the main reasons to post in the beginner forum is that I wouldn't expect a beginner to be up to writing the custom resize handler." I need begin with "robust" examples. Without that it like starting at ground zero, when other have do it 100 of times. (A long time...

Re: Beacons - Eddystone, iBeacon Bluetooth and MergeBLE

@ Lagi: shall I create a public doc on my Google Drive or would you like to do that? I'm not sure the best way to "instigate" a collaborative process... I can also open a project in Asana...and invite everyone. *someone* has to hold the keys to the "think tank" ... it would nice if there were a wiki...

Re: Beacons - Eddystone, iBeacon Bluetooth and MergeBLE

@ Todd: I'm all in on this too. Shall we collaborate on a requirements document? I could create one on my Google Docs or either of you... Think we need that first. Then draft a minimalist functional spec. once have that then I'm sure lots of other developers will start kicking the can around with mo...

Re: Browser Widget Enhancements

HH I understand your wish for a broader implementation. But I don't think we are on the same page. You write: "So, what you essentially want is a FFI for HTML5/javascript that allows to access the CPU/other media by such packages. " Actually no: the use case I envision/need/would hope for, is quite ...

@rblackmore... I have gotten an estimate from HQ on browser enhancement development. We would need a minimum of $7,000.00 in a kitty, $11,000 if we want robust error checking, to enhance the browser widget to a point where can get it to communicate "runtime" with the LC context it is running in. I d...

Re: Dictionary rewrite - thoughts, please

yep... I'd like to raise $7,500 for the browser widget upgrade (that was a quote from HQ) We also need a model that will not necessarily have a time limit.

Re: Dictionary rewrite - thoughts, please

Ok I already am using the new dictionary splitter now in the middle of dev... added to my plug ins... anyone like the idea of a custom minimize button on the UI? idea is if you are not in the dictionary, to save screen space.. click the button and it drops to 40,40, 120,120... off to the topleft of ...

Re: 360º Panorama

With advances in photography since this thread was started in 2007, we have come a long way. Now you can get 360 panos as a single image.. It would be interesting to see if we can emulate VR behavior inside LC. I suspect we have to create a mask and then move the image round inside it.[*] http://wik...

Re: Options to Show/Control 3D in Livecode

Richmond. that stack using multiple pngs for the 3D effect is "awesome" Thank you . The only other route i'm told by HQ is to use a movie in a player and control the currentframe.... But there are advantages to the simplicity of N number of images + graphic + script -- so transparent and I don't thi...

More input from HQ (Elanor): Re field "entry-data" blob in the api.sqllite dbase: Yes, it is an encoded LiveCode array, you can use arrayDecode to turn the blob data back into a LiveCode array. I suggest you have a look at the `revIDEDocumentationLibrary` stack. It may be that that you don't need to...
