Would also be interested in this. If somebody has the source code, I can host it.

Hi,

I might have (a version of) the source code somewhere, but I'd rather get permission from the developer to publish it.

Best,

Mark

Thanks for all the postive comments!
After another long hiatus from Revolution I'm back, blame mobile app contracts and nostalgia. I'm still getting used to the changes since the 2.x days, including the new LiveCode name, but enjoying the changes so far.

I will try to get the game's sourcecode uploaded this week, looking through the code it's an absolute mess, thanks in part to LiveCode's new features and the bulk for being my first major game. Now for some happy news for those eager to learn how to make a game in LiveCode, I've decided to dedicate my weekends to not only update the game but also release the updated source code.

Looking through the new features since 2.x days a lot of my code is now redundant and in many cases it ends up causing more bloat and ram usage. Most of it stems from finally getting hardware acceleration support. I've just started ripping through the real-time strategy portion of the game, removing old code and restructuring the User Interface code and appearance. I suspect there will be sections of code and artwork left over that can't be changed given my timescale, but I will try to place warning comments to avoid luring anyone in to learning nasty habits.

Lastly I will try my hardest to get this running on an iPad, fingers crossed on that one!

Jeremy.

I haven't forgotten about re-releasing the source code! https://www dropbox com/s/id771ij8mtj8bl7/gt2_sourcecode.zip ( for some reason I can't post links? just replace the spaces either side of dropbox with dots ).

Things are settling down on my end and I plan to update and re-release the game on the Mac Appstore and later for the iPad. The source code will be updated and released alongside these changes for all to enjoy too :)

Fair warning, it's pretty ugly in places and not using any features introduced since Runrev/Livecode 2.x
