Something up with the forum ?
I opened my RSS reader, replied to a couple of posts, and then came to a post I had saved to go over more thoroughly later and... wtf ?
Was it moved accidently? Was it deleted for some reason?? Was it abducted by aliens ???
So I came to the board index, clicked on the 'Complete beginners' section, hit [ctrl+f], typed in the first 3 words of the post and....the post no longer exists? Was it moved accidently? Was it deleted for some reason?? Was it abducted by aliens ???
Re: Something up with the forum ?
I also experienced something weird today in the forum.
I was reading "How to populate a treeview widget" (or what the title was).
Then I opened the INDEX page and after I clicked again on the above mentioned post,
I suddenly found myself in the forum "LC connect" which told me I cannot read the postings?
Went back to the INDEX paged and the above mentioned posting was completely gone!?

Ok, I'm seriously leaning towards aliens, and not the cute furry fuzzy type !

Re: Something up with the forum ?
Today, in my RSS reader, I clicked on the link to the thread that had mysteriously dissappeared, so it would open in my browser. This is the link -
viewtopic.php?t=33565&p=187219#p187219
After signing in, I received this message - The thread was originally located in the 'Complete Beginners' section, as shown in the thread bar - I'd really love to know if anyone can explain this, the thread doesn't time out, it just appears to have been moved to another part of the forum, but why?

Yo, I also get:
You are not authorised to read this forum.
after clicking that link.
But I would not be surprised if the user had deleted or moved his thread by himself!

Re: Something up with the forum ?
How would that even be possible, after anyone else posts a reply (and there were several), I don't see any controls that would allow Joe Average User to do either of those things.
Re: Something up with the forum ?
No idea either!?
But you know that newbies sometimes fulfill impossible tasks, simply because they don't know it's impossible!

The servers are in the process of being moved. I'd expect weird things to happen.
I usually expect that anyway, and I'm not very often disappointed.
