Just for grins, I installed the 1st public beta of 10.13 "High Sierra" on a 2012 MacBook Pro with 8GB RAM and SSD. Found a way to crash LiveCode 8.13 and 8.14 in about 15 seconds. I tried to set the background color to "Steel" though I suspect choosing any other special color would have done the same. Crashed on 8.13 and 8.14 as soon as I clicked "OK" in the color picker*. Looks like the "Red" (one of the standard colors in the popup list) did work without crashing so maybe there's something in that color picker dialog that isn't kosher with 10.13.
Not blaming LiveCode for this issue! And it isn't really an "issue" as I was just curious how LC would behave in such a new environment. I expect other 3rd party apps will have just as much fun in High Sierra until everything gets sorted out.
"Hey y'all! Watch this!" may be fine for YouTube fails but certainly is not a reasonable behavior when involving LiveCode and beta operating systems, right?
Perhaps it's the APFS filesystem? Who knows? I'm going to nuke and re-pave the SSD now.
Rumple
*Edit: Actually crashes whether I click the "OK" or "Cancel" button in the color picker.

Re: macOS 10.13 "High Sierra"
It has been reported that macOS will will start to phase out support for 32-bit software and all apps must be 64-bit by June 2018. It was further reported that "eventually, 32-bit support will no longer exist in macOS, probably in a version after High Sierra".
Does LiveCode now or will it in future versions build 64 bit standalone applications ?
Thanks, Philip

Hi Phillip,,
maybe this screenshot of the standalone builder settings for a Mac app of LC 9 DP7 will ease your mind Default is 64 bit now and 32 bit marked as deprecated.
Best

Hi, is there an ETA for LiveCode supporting OS X 10.13? (Just found the same problem with the colour picker. Haven't found any others yet tho )
Re: macOS 10.13 "High Sierra"
Hi arc,
this mail from Mark Waddingham arrived today on the LC mailing list concerning the cvolor picker bug:
############################################################################################
Fixed, of course, https://github.com/livecode/livecode/pull/6012.
This patch will be back-ported to 8.1.6 as 8.1.6-gm-3 - this will appear as soon as we can get it built
and uploaded - it will appear in the auto updater when it is done. (The build number will be 14034).
It will next appear in 8.1.7-rc-2 (which currently has an ETA of Monday all being well), then subsequently
in 8.2.0-dp-2 and 9.0.0-dp-10.
