Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 -> Android test installation issues

Struggled with this for the day so figured I'd post here in case someone else is 'working' with the same tablet and has similar problems.

So, using Lenovo Yoga Tablet 3 (presumably other lenovo phones and tablets as well), I started first getting "Host service" issues when trying to deploy using the "Test" button. Proceeded by updating my ADB to the latest version after which I got some installation related error. Then I ran the update from Lenovo's MagicPlus after which I started getting the "LC stuck when Installing" problem.

After a while of poking around, I force closed all "magicplus" related processes from task manager and it started working again. Not a permanent fix (probably), but now it doesn't hang at the deployment.

Might save time time for someone else, but hopefully no one will need this information.

Android versions 4.0, 5.0, 5.1 (at least), Windows 7 and LC versions tested from 6.5 to 8.1.
Very likely not an LC issue, but with the MagicPlus thing.
