iOS sdk disappeared

Post by aebki » Wed Mar 18, 2015 3:24 pm

Hi,

I don't know if this is the correct place to put this question, but i didn't see one precise place for it, so i will put it here

I have one problem with my LiveCode.
I was testing one app i am making, and suddenly i couldn’t test anymore in the simulator.
And i looked in the preferences and the iOS development SDK disappeared.
I am trying to put it again, but i don’t manage.

What is the problem? It can disappear alone like this the iOS sdk? How i can put this iOS SDK again?
I did it some months ago, and i don’t remember how i did to add the entry, but it seems to me that i ‘only’ need to press in “4.3 or later”, and then when is asking me to select the Xcode app bundle, i had to select where is my Xcode. So, i choose the Xcode i have in the folder “apps”.
But when i make this i have the message “The chosen folder is not a valid iOS SDK."

Help please!

kind regards.

Hi Thierry,

I don't know if this is useful for my problem!:-(
Nothing to do with externals, or configuration in Xcode.
And i am not a 'pro' to change configs. :-(

I had opened only Livecode and this happened suddenly.

My problem is how to add the entry again in preferences of LiveCode!
I saw in Xcode and i have the latest version 6.2 with the iOS simulator 8.1
and i have the latest version of LiveCode 7.0.3

But i don't know how to restore this entry and make it work! :-(

Regards.

Mmm, I did copy and paste the wrong url.

This one talk about Xcode 6.2, and:
- either you wait for an update from Edinburgh
- or you reverse Xcode to version 6.1.

Hope this one really help,

So, here is a copy of a post in the user's list; thanks to Chris:

Hope that helps,

Thierry

PS: I've never done that. I'm blocking all automatic updates.
