Hello world library lesson (minor) surprises.

Post by simon.schvartzman » Thu Oct 04, 2018 3:42 pm

Hi, the Hello world Library excellent lesson found here https://livecode.com/lessons/hello-world-library/ really helps in a otherwise not intuitive process of building a widget and or library.
While following the lesson I found some minor differences between LC 9.0.1 behaviour and the lesson's guides. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or things have changed since the lesson was put together.

1 - I was able to create the Package file successfully using the Package Icon (no buttons as instructed on the lesson)

2 - Even so the "Install" icon stays grayed but it seems to work OK.

Not really looking for an answer just thought it may help others to cope with the differences between the lesson and actual life.

Best!
Simon
