Soft breakpoint fixed?

This was an aside on the use-list, that a regression had creeped into the latest v.9 release, stating that the soft red dot was acting up again.

Does that mean it was repaired for a while? I would love to know that it sticks to whichever line it resides, and would move from v.8 to v.9 instantly if I thought that single issue had been fixed.
