Anyone know if the red dot breakpoint issue has been fixed in v.9.0.1 RC-1? The reason I ask is because it is stated that:
"- a couple of issues with breakpoints are now fixed"
I would switch from v8 for that alone.

Re: v.9 breakpoint fixed?
Hi Craig,
Which specific breakpoint issue are you referring to? It is worth giving LC 9.0.1 rc1 a try, and tell us if you see any breakpoint-related bug, so as we fix it in the next release.
Best,
Panos

Re: v.9 breakpoint fixed?
Hello Panos.
I am referring to the red dot issue, where changes to the script editor will likely disable an already in-place "soft" breakpoint.
This is discussed in the forums, for example, "Soft Breakpoints are too soft".
I can duplicate this any time, though the result is intermittent. Set a soft breakpoint. Run the handler. Execution stops as advertised. Now add a few lines, or delete a few. The breakpoint moves with the edited text, but fails to halt execution.
Hold on. There, I just did it. v 8.1.9

Re: v.9 breakpoint fixed?
You won't see any differences between LC 9 and LC 8 except for the numerous bug fixes and increased feature set. Why not just try it? Your copy of LC 8 will still be available if you want to go back, the file formats are the same.

To be fair to Jacque, I also tried it in 9.0.1. I just didn't mention it. I loaded v9 and tested, and then went back to my trusty v.8 and posted.Hold on. There, I just did it. v 8.1.9

Re: v.9 breakpoint fixed?
In that case, since you have a reproducible recipe, a bug report is in order.
