LiveCode won't run anymore

I have a perplexing problem.
Out of the blue LiveCode wont startup. The program loads and them just quits.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled livecode several times. I have checked the registry for missing links . Nothing works.
I am running Windows 10. This came out of the blue. I have even tried the community edition - no worky.
This happens with the latest versions of LiveCode 8 & 9. I do get a livecode Dump FIle that I can't read.
HELP!!!!

It's a long shot, but have you tried deleting LC's prefs file?

I deleted after I renamed them so that I could recover the files in the folders.
I tried to make LiveCode to think it was a completely new install.

I must say that this has me completely baffled.
I also disabled my firewall software, just in case. Are the LiveCode Tech the only people that can review and understand the the Crash Logs? Apparently every time LiveCode tries to run and fails, it creates a DMP file which is a binary file of some sort. I can't read them. I have also submitted a request to the LiveCode Support Folks.

It was the Preferences folder.
I had pointed the the wrong folder.

Probably the same problem - LC9 just stopped working on Windows10. Little lego "Start the Tour" man would pop-up, briefly taunt me, then LC would shut down.
Same solution - delete the LC preferences file - C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Roaming\RunRev\Preferences
