Print designated area doesn't work in LC8

Post by quangdev » Tue Apr 18, 2017 10:31 am

Dear all,

Currently, I have done the upgrade from LC4.6 to LC8 for my application and everything seems to work fine with the exception of printing. This function works properly in LC4.6

I have spent many hours to find out what are happening, but there is no clue.

Could you please kindly to advise me to overcome this issue?

Please see the attached file for further details.

Best regards,
Quang

It appears you are probably working on Windows (10)? This does work OK on Mac, I've no idea if it works on Linux.

This topic came up on the user list recently and has just been reported to the QC system, bug #19599; http://quality.livecode.com/show_bug.cgi?id=19599
If you could add your findings and comments there it may help get this resolved a little quicker as the team will have more info to work on.

The only way Tiemo (The bug reporter) found to get round this was to print the whole card, i.e. Print this card -- with no topLeft or bottonRight coordinates.

Dear Paul,

Thanks for your help!

I am running the printing function on Window 7. Anyway, print the whole card is not preferable solution.

Hope that LiveCode team can fix this issue in next release?

Regards,
Quang
