I want to put together an App that is mainly used for reading HTML pages (online and downloaded locally). The App will be for iPhone and Android.
Any hints as to how I can make the content as well as simple controls (navigation, search, bookmark) accessible so e.g. visually impaired user can access content and do basic interaction?

Hi.
By accessible, do you simply mean larger and with high contrast?

Re: Creating Accessible Apps
Hi Craig
As a minimum, larger controls and high contrast, but looking at possibility of use by totally blind users too. I am guessing text to speech is done in by the OS, but question is how the controls I mentioned, e.g. bookmarks can be used.
(As an anecdote, I have a blind resident in my street who says he is very happy using the Ocado app on his phone to do all his shopping. )
