I have an old RunRev 4.0 stack that controls an arduino board but for some reason it doesn't work in Livecode (Mac). I checked the project that I originally used to build my stack called "SerialTest" downloaded from the Trozware site. This doesn't work in Livecode either. They both simply freeze the program and I have to force quit.
Any ideas?
Many Thanks in advance
Jim H

Re: Serial Test
Hi Jim,
nice to see you.
as far as the arduino is concerned there seem to be problems with the serial port.
Have a look at this very long thread on the Livecode use-list
http://runtime-revolution.278305.n4.nab ... l#a3243362
This is where Claudi Cornaz seems to have solved the problem of communicating with the arduino.
Also there is a stack on RevOnline
http://revonline2.runrev.com/stack/542/ ... rduino-Uno
where Thomas McGrath controls the arduino via Applescript.
I did not try either of the solutions.
Maybe someone who has used an arduino will chime in.
Kind regards
Bernd

Re: Serial Test
Hi Bernd,
Thanks for the reply and nice to see you too. Apologies about the double post - I had to re-register because I was having problems with logging in etc.
Great to hear that there may be a solution to the problem - I'll have a look into it and give it a whirl.
Many Thanks again.
