I am infected with the crazy idea of having a stack that resizes to the size of
an end-user's screen . . .

This threw me off a bit:

THIS is okay, as far as it goes, but it doesn't take screen "furniture" into account:

Most people will hate this stack . . . don't panic: hit the "SHRINK" button.

This will expand to "occupy" the whole screen.
