Is LC server a requirement in order for LC HTML5 apps to work on a website?

Re: Basic LC Server/HTML5 question
I don't think so, as you can build and launch html 5 apps directly by clicking on them in the folder on your dev machine, which tends to imply that any website where you can execute arbitrary code would work as well (say from a link).
*Disclaimer - I don't work with the html 5 part of Lc very often, I actually only tested it to see if I could then run an app on an android/chromebook device, which required the help of an accomplice
