Hi Horst,

I already answered your question, but obviously you deleted your first posting.
Didn't you like my answer and my questions? Hmmm...

Could you please so kind to reply again?

Hallo Horst,

OK, always important to know:
What version of Livecode?
What platform? Mac/Win/Linux?
What system version?

I just made a test here on my Mac macOS 10.13.3 with LC 9 dp11 and LC 8.1.9 RC2
and "http://www.ard.de" and did not get this dialog?

Does this happen with other URLs, too?
And does it happen everytime with this URL?

There is also a german Livecode forum, but its userbase is not (yet?) as big as here:

Hi all,

I worked a lot with the browser widget in the last months using LC 8 on Mac 10.12/10.13 and Win7/Win10 and Ubuntu 1604.

Never got an alert relating to the browser containing the word "outdated"
The TV channels have all clean "fallbacks", that is you'll get an answer ("no javascript" or "no webGL").

But the TV channels also use heavily flash.
So this is probably a message about a missing or "outdated" flash plugin?

Do you get the same answer when using your default browser (Safari, Firefox, Opera, Edge etc.)?

LC running on Windows 10 (1709)
Livecode Version Community 8.1.8

The message is issued by ARD (German Television Channel)
The original message says (German):
Lieber Nutzer,
Sie verwenden eine veraltete Browser-Version. Bitte installieren Sie einen aktuellen Browser, um unser Angebot richtig darstellen zu können:

Dear user,
You are using an outdated browser version. Please install a current browser to display our offer correctly

I had also no success on Win 7/10 with ARD or ZDF videos/streams.
I can remove the warning by setting the userAgent but the videos/streams don't play.
It all works on Mac (which uses a different video format). Perhaps the TV stations don't support webm any more?

In general the browser widget works with videos/streams: You may test this by trying to watch videos from youTube. This works here with the browser widget also on Win 7/10.
