A High School chap who studies EFL with me and was subverted into LiveCode by me
in the Summer has a competition "thingy" he is doing at his school, but is, frankly,
cheesed-off with both C++ and C# as he can see that many, many things can be done
rather faster in LiveCode. He is also a very talented jazz guitarist.
He would like to "rip-off" an Android app (i.e. mimic its functionality in LiveCode),
as well as its look & feel as far as is possible.
Personally I find that downloading someone else's app and then imitating it in
LiveCode is an extremely instructive exercise both in terms of learning new
things and appreciating the very great effort the original programmer put into
his/her work.
But he has been getting himself into trouble trying to generate buttons.
So, I ran up this nifty stack to do just that:
