Looks like an early case for patent infringement

On a more serious note, nice touch.

This appears to work similarly to a regular scrolling field, except that the thumb is expanded to the full height of the object and as such only the arrows allow scrolling.

What is the "limitations of simple scrollable text fields" referred to there?

What is the "limitations of simple scrollable text fields" referred to there?
as per this thread:

http://lists.runrev.com/pipermail/use-l ... 43138.html

I wrote:
How one differentiates between *mouseUp* outside and *inwith* the
clicked control is the question here.

ALSO: as the scrollBar is NOT a control in its own right rather than
part of a field one cannot
address message just to the scrollBar . . .

Of course, if a *scrollable text field* were to be a *composite object*
(c.f. datagrid)
whereby the scrollBar were an entity inwith a *group*
that also contained a field, things would be different.

What is the goal of being able to track those mouse messages in that context?
