Faster Graphics in LiveCode
Reading the description of "pledging towards a better DataGrid" once again, this could be titled:
*** Faster Graphics in LiveCode (especially DataGrid 2) ***
That is:
Everybody who uses the Graphical User Interface will profit if that work is done.
There are only 9 hours left and 118 backers only (!) contributed at the moment, 100 more backers with the average pledge are needed.
If find it is a pity that the community becomes so small if pledges are needed. This is an opportunity to support LiveCode for all users who use LiveCode Community for free. Also small pledges will help.
Please back this project here:
https://livecode.com/project/datagrid2/
If this project becomes funded I will post an Image Widget, updated every month until October, for free.

And it's not just images, this will provide smooth scrolling for any control inside a group, even nested groups, which affects everyone. I've hit the current limitation in almost every mobile app I've made.

Goal not reached. 185 backers, no comment.
One minute later, past final time:
Goal reached, who did the last 'move' to exactly $25000?
Thanks.

The mothership? As far as I can tell, there's no way to know for sure. The problem with companies running their own crowdfunding campaign is that it opens up the potential for all manner of troublesome behaviors. The good thing about using third party crowd fund sites like kickstarter or indiegogo is that ,while they cost more, they offer at least a small amount of oversight and protection for the customer. As it stands, we don't even know whether this campaign tipping donation was really made or if it was made up so they could collect whatever had actually been pledged.
This is in NO WAY an accusal of wrongdoing, but just an observation and legitimate concern.

Heather addressed the end push on the use-livecode list yesterday:

Oops, Richard beat me to it.

Jacque is right:
Heather gave an "explanation" of the last move being too late. But this didn't answer my question (what TinFoilHat tried to do).
Thanks anyway to this "gap-filling last pledger".

Re: Faster Graphics in LiveCode
Has anybody heard of an update on the release of the Datagrid 2 project?

Re: Faster Graphics in LiveCode
Only that it is still in development and they're working like mad on it.
