Continued problems with Cloud and Database Academy

Post by jon@armasoft.co.uk » Mon Apr 03, 2017 3:36 pm

Having resolved the problem with 'theme' now being a reserved word I'm now hitting another dead end with the academy demo/example files.

If I try to delete a record in the 'Inventory Management' example nothing changes. I've added a debug and it would appear that there is a problem on the server side. For example if I pass the URL:

Code: Select all

http://techsupport.on-rev.com/cloudtest/clouddb3.lc?ID=5
I get this back:

Code: Select all

<pre>
file "/home/techsupp/public_html/cloudtest/clouddb3.lc"
  row 3, col 3: Commands: missing ',' (Â)
row 3, col 3: Commands: bad parameters (Â)
row 3, col 3: script: bad command (Â)
Similar problems with the other options as well. It's difficult to tell if other users are hitting the same problems as there do appear to be more entries than in the original demo, but there's no way to see how old/new they may be.

Can anybody suggest if I can fix this or if the problem is indeed at the server end.

Thanks.

Hi Jon,

yes, looks like an error on the server side.
I suggest to write to support@livecode.com and ask them to fix the academy files and server stuff!

If you have paid for this academy stuff, don't ask, but DEMAND to fix things! :D

Best

Klaus

Klaus,

That is good advice.

I'll try to put something in writing to support.
