Hi,

Please can someone remind me how to install a provisioning profile into an iOS app?

Thanks,

Gary

Hi Gary

Only working from memory so I may have left out some steps...

1. create provisioning profile on apple's developer portal (referencing your app id & developer certificate)
2. download the new provisioning profile from their portal to your local dev machine
3. double-click the downloaded file to get it into your keychain
4. open Xcode, open preferences, open accounts tab, select your apple id and hit the 'view details' button, then hit the refresh button (this has the 'circular arrow' glyph)
5. ensure your provisioning profile is correctly ascribed in the 'standalone application settings' in LC
6. build your standalone in LC
7. provisioning profiles are checked when you try to install your app on an iOS device - and if they pass muster are installed along with the app

This has worked, except I found that I didn't need to refresh in Xcode.

Thank you Dave.

I'm trying to create a provisioning profile but I can't access Apple's portal because I'm not registered as a developer. That is possible since the last WWDC. It works using Xcode 7. But then how can I create a profile for Livecode?
