Fixing scripted libraries

Post by malte » Wed Jul 10, 2013 9:54 am

Hi folks,

I would want to address some bugs in a scripted library (the datagrid library for that matter). Now, how should we go about this. It isn't exactly an engine thing, but neither is it an IDE thing. Where can we make contributions like that?

What I have found are some minor, yet annoying issues with scrolling with a touchpad, where the dg errors out. I found the cause for this already. What I would also want to do is make it compile in strict mode, as this reveals some typos in there too.

Thoughts?

You might try the IDE forum but I'm not sure what's going on there or if anyone from RunRev is involved like runrevmark is here. What I do when I find an IDE bug is post the details of the fix as a bug report. I think that's the best we are going to be able to do for a while...

Thanks Monte, I will go that route. Even though it turns out the cause for the error is indeed an engine bug. http://quality.runrev.com/show_bug.cgi?id=11044
