Theme controls vs Native controls

Post by paul.brillhart » Wed Sep 11, 2013 4:46 am

I see on the roadmap, plans for themed controls (to look like iOS and Andriod controls), but what I don't understand is the possible use of *true native controls.
It appears MobGui is not being supported and does not even work with the community edition of LC.

Unfortunately, *I don't know enough about this topic to ask this question in the most accurate terms, but I am working with a developer friend who is asking me about native controls and I could use some clarification. (with mobgui or future plans, either way I'm confused)

Does LC truly hook into the native iOS/Android controls or is the LC just mimicking the look of native controls?

Additionally, I read something about scripting native controls, could someone elaborate on that? - please
