On Android there are lots of versions with lots of screen resolutions. I presume there to be also a large variety of "soft" screen keyboard dimensions. (I can only test on the emulator and my single HTC Desire Z device.)
In this thread (relating to iOS but the same subject I am interested in) http://forums.runrev.com/phpBB2/viewtop ... 896#p32896 it describes what I want to do but with the differences in keyboard measurements, how am I to know how far to shift the objects?
Is there a standard keyboard measurement for the Android platform, or a way to actually determine the size of the visible keyboard on an Android screen? The working screenrect takes into consideration the status bar, but not whether there is a soft keyboard on display.

Anyone have any clues at all?
