I know I have to use API 26 to upload my apps to Google play ....
But now I can not even download my own app from Google Play because Google
says my device is not compatible with the app.
If I have this problem, my customers will have the same problem.
What can I do about this? Is there no backward compatibility?

Re: what's with google's API 26
Do you use LC901?
You don't need to select API 26 in LC standalone settings. You need to use LC90x.
Just select the minimum sdk you want in the standalone settings. And in the manifest now it is settled the required to target API26.
Create the APK and upload to google console.
The apk may use a lower a api, but not lower than the minumum sdk 4.03 as LC requires.
