Hi geoff
My apologies for not replying to this post.
Since im just getting things reorganised I dont get email notifications of replies to threads any more.
I was approached by runrev with a good upgrade to business license which has the debugger, and after your response I have accepted the offer and committed the money.
So Im back!
Thanks for your input and the rest of the thread about delphi ... Good to know.
So know back to learning
Thanks Again

Hi Lagi,
do you know if this QR-External was realized ?
If yes, could you make it available for me ?
I'm looking for a solution since weeks...
It's horrible, especially when I jhave to read 5 times a day that mergExt was already available for Android 3 years ago...
I can't understand why it is impossible to get this, but I'm not the only one...
I hope you can help me
Best regards
Ulrich

Looking at your mention of Embarcadero sounds like you were a Turbo Pascal/ Delphi user as well - I first used Turbo Pascal on my Apple ][ with the Microsoft Z80/CPM card so I'm long in the tooth as well
Anyway I haven't done any spelunking on this but how about this for an idea - i'm sure you would be upto it.
This is FreePascal/Lazarus/Delphi code for a QR scanner - originally for IOS but later on in the thread somebody modified it to work on Android.

Why not use Scot Mcdonald's Pascal SDK to create an external for the Freepascal code.

Hi James,
Yes, I saw that the business licence has the remote debugging. I am tied up at the moment but my two business partners and I will meet shortly and discuss an upgrade to a business licence. There are a lot of things in it that we could certainly use.
Doesn't solve my immediate problem though and my time is limited.
regards,
Geoff Macumber.
