Telephone and Other Functions on Android

Post by kurt » Sat Dec 26, 2015 11:03 pm

I have been using LC and RunRev for years, and I was initially excited about the prospect of leveraging my admittedly limited knowledge of LC scripting for mobile use. Here we are in 2015, but I regret that just about anything I've needed that is, well, phone-specific (it IS after all a cell phone!) is currently either unavailable, or I just don't know where to look. Things such as an interface with the phone's contact list, ability to read notifications, answer, make or reject a phone call, advise of missed call or voice mail receipt, add to or read from the phone's calendar, etc.
These are all important functions that I have included in apps that I've written for Android - using other tools.

Is there a time line for including telephony- and calendar-related functions in LiveCode?

Thanks, Kurt
