The SoCal Linux Expo (SCaLE) is coming back to Pasadena March 8 through 11:
https://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale/16x

While the name implies a Linux focus, SCaLE is really about all free and open source software. With multiple tracks covering everything from education to security, there's something here for everyone, even those who don't use Linux.

One of the many features of SCaLE is the after-hours Birds of a Feather (BoF) meetups, where attendees can gather for any topic they like - such as LiveCode!

Mark Wieder suggested we put together a BoF for LC. I'd go. Anyone else up for joining in?

I also want to point out that now that the LiveCode conferences are defunct, SCaLE has now become my favorite conference of the year.

Just a hours left on the #scale16x early bird rate. Register before prices go up at midnight tonight! http://www.socallinuxexpo.org"

Since the SoCal LC User Group is part of SGV Tech, you can use our host group's discount code when registering for additional savings (I haven't checked but it may be as much as half off): SGVLG

Mark Wieder is here in Pasadena, and by one means or another we're going to have an LC meetup at SC. It may be part of the Birds of a Feather sessions, it may be elsewhere. Mark and I are sorting that out. But we'll have a LiveCode-centric event Friday night at SCaLE - details to be posted in this thread as soon as they become available.

If you're not yet signed up for SCaLE, you can do so here:
https://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale/16x

We still have the Friday special events, and the full weekend of SCaLE sessions, so plenty of good learning and fun remains to be had.

At the door SCaLE normally costs $85 for all days, a good value in itself. But as members of the SGV Linux User Group our members get half-off when using this discount code: SVLUG

See you there.
