Using A.I. at the moment

Post by richmond62 » Tue Aug 29, 2023 11:35 am

I thought that I would try to find some sort of A.I. thing that would help me a bit with one or two 'bumps in the road' of a thing I am developing for digitisation of Egyptian Heiroglyphs in LiveCode . . . so I did a web search and it seems to me that the vast majority of them work with a set of IDEs, of which one is not LC [Hence the thing previously known as 'Xavvi' - glad about the name change].

Has anyone had any experience [beyond the trivial] of this type of thing?

This kind of claim makes me feel a bit lumpy:

"the world’s leading AI code completion tool, trusted by over 1 million developers in all programming languages."

(emphasis is mine)

Bet it doesn't deal with BBC BASIC from 1981, or, come to think of things, LiveCode. 8)

I suppose I should laugh at this, but it doesn't seem very funny:

Aha: obviously the robot was away oiling its gears:

Mind you, that won't butter any parsnips, so, perhaps I should try something a bit more sophisticated.

I suspect you may need to change your question a bit and move away from asking the AI how to write LC and point it more towards how to digitise inputs.

Not sure how well that will work as you’re asking it a very niche question. Possibly you could adapt the resultant code to LC or more likely have to somehow create/source an external to use a framework from a different language. I mean someone will have done something like this even if niche…
