External Certification and/or Validation

Post by richmond62 » Wed Feb 27, 2019 7:06 pm

My company has just acquired an Intern: a 21 year-old woman who
is studying "Informatics" at the University of Plovdiv. She is in
her second year of a 4 year BA course and realises that the standards
and the range of what she is studying are pretty punk.
She'd like to use her internship to leverage a transfer to somewhere
a lot better such as the University of Edinburgh . . .

I have set her to work to do a refactor of my Devawriter Pro.

I am, independently of her, doing a refactor of the same code, on
the theory that she may do it in a better way, or I mat do it in a
better way, but we'll both end up learning something useful.

And that's all fine and dandy.

But, obviously, a wee certificate from me that she did some "casual progging"
will not carry her very far . . . so . . .

I am wondering if there is some way I can get her work for me recognised
in a slightly more official way,
or . . .

"someone" might see their way clear to letting her do an internship in,
let's say, err, Edinburgh, with, err, LiveCode while she takes a year out of Uni' ?
