The forums RSS feed...

Post by bogs » Sun Jul 09, 2017 12:57 pm

I use a mail client to receive the forums RSS feed, but I find that some sections of the forum are not included in the feed listings I receive. I would guess they are subscriber specific sections (?) that you only see when you are signed in, as opposed to viewing as a visitor.

Is there a way to receive those sections as well that I am somehow missing from inexperience?

Any tidbits welcome :)

From what I can see, the only section not available to guests is the Alternative IDEs section.. I also didn't see a feed for the forum, but each sub-section had their own feed.. The feeds also show up when browsing the forum as a guest, so I don't see why they wouldn't work..

Thank you Shaosean, that does turn out to be the one I was missing. Probably not important enough for Rss, since there is really only one topic in there :)

Yah, I didn't think it was top secret, but then, I'm so new the green behind my ears still glows like a night light

The MetaCard forum has a feed. It's only the sections that contain forums that have no feeds.

When you're logged out, the Alternative IDEs section is hidden from view, so this might possibly be causing the initial issue of the RSS feed not working..

Thanks, Sean. Weird, I don't see any settings for that section which would cause it to behave differently. I wonder if Klaus might be able to figure this out....

LOL and I'm always logged in when visiting the forum, so as they say in the Mr. Obvious show, huh, I never made the connection! doh!!
Thank you Sean.

Any luck on this? Trying to pull all of the RSS feed sections, including the metacard one, into Thunderbird, which I find far more convenient than live bookmarks  If not, thats ok, just means I'll have to start getting 'creative' again
