When I try to search the forums on ways to embed D3.js animations in Livecode stacks, an error comes back saying that the "D3.js" string is too short. Is there a way around this limitation?
Appreciate any help!
Best,
Mark
Is there a way to search for D3.js posts on the forum?

Re: Is there a way to search for D3.js posts on the forum?
These forums use the default PHPBB settings for search, which as you've found result in somewhat anemic indices. I've discussed altering those defaults with the team, not sure what their plan is at this time.
But fortunately you have me. I don't recall D3.js being discussed here, but there's a chance Todd Fabacher or one of the other regulars in the Facebook LC Group may have used it with LC:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/livecodeusers/
And hopefully now that you have this thread here, anyone who's used that with LC's browser widget will chime in.

Thanks Richard! Will be posting on Livecode FB groups next...

You can use google with the "site:" criterion to search on this forum for trawled results via Google. It doesn't yield any results for d3.js though. Richard is more useful than Google.

Hi Mark,
Digital Pomegranate team has open source library for D3.js charts in Livecode.
Here is the GitHub repo https://github.com/digitalpomegranate/D ... ode-Charts.
Gurgen.

Many thanks, Gurgen! It looks like a big advance for LiveCode visualizations.
Todd mentioned in the Facebook LiveCode Users group that an interactive D3 example stack is in the works. Can you share it here when it is ready?
Also, recent posts in the Forum thread on Github and Livecode integration have touched on a possible way for D3 to provide an updated visualization of the status of work in complex open source projects.
The possibility is mentioned here –

Look forward to anything along these lines that may be possible.
Best,
Mark
