Then in 1999 I discovered and started learning MetaCard without internet (yep!) only with trial
and error (and the dictionary, which many newbies tend to neglect, which makes me really angry!
That is the cause of my sarcasm sometimes, I have to confess), so I really know how things can
be done and how steep the learning curve is.

This comment brings me memories.
Me too, started with MetaCard, without an Internet connection
and my first interest in December 2001 was to learn about QTVR control.

After this, I printed in light color papers (blue, pink, yellow, green, cream)
and stored in five binders all text from lessons, scripts, sample stacks and reference.
Since then, they sit near my computer.
Still today, I believe that the full potential of this platform
is largely untapped and unexplored.
Hopefully, this will change really soon, after LiveCode starts contacting
Universities to translate the english-like script language
to their native tongue. It's expected that some Universities
refuse, arguing that this would be no useful or even harmful,
but this reaction is normal when you ask people to do
something that no one have done before.
