Hi everyone,
Is there anyone using other development apps (coding language)
beside LiveCode?
Here is what I use (or try to):
GamePress app - game prototyping on iPAD (export to Appstore)
FlowLab - online game prototyping (export to iOS)
Codea - Lua oriented on iPAD
Do not shoot me for asking (no advertising purposes, just a ?)
PS. For the geek inside me and serious stuff I am learning: LiveCode (you guessed)
Regards,
Catalin

Re: Other used apps
Hi Catalin,
I use Aptana for PHP-based web sites and apps. XCode for non-LiveCode programming on the Mac. Visual Studio for programming non-LiveCode stuff on Windows. Sometimes I use Xojo or SuperCard and once in a while I still use HyperCard. On the Mac, I often use TextWrangler. I have used PhoneGap, but it has been a while.
Sometimes I use LiveCode as a development tool for other languages. I have created an HTML editor for the website of my company, for instance. It uses simple HTML and PHP, but it also contains many automated functions that help me to quickly add and remove pages.
Right now, I'm using Aptana to create a website with a webshop. LiveCode will resize the pictures for the shop and sent the invoice to the customer
Kind regards,
Mark

Re: Other used apps
I sometimes use HyperCard as well. LiveCode may have more features, but I still prefer the layout of HyperCard. It is also fun to develop on a 1986 Macintosh Plus! I also use OpenXION for a few projects that do not require a GUI. For websites I use a mixture of Notepad++ and TextWrangler.Mark wrote: once in a while I still use HyperCard
