nope, and the toolbar spot on the right is still blank, too.
Also, if I hit the help button to get the drop down, the info field on the left is editable (accidentally clicking in there puts the cursor there, too)

Hmm.. I just downloaded and installed the plugin, and on my machines all is working ok. Mac, Win and Linux.

Do you have any other plugins running?

Are you trying it in 9 dp5? And no, I don't have any other plugins started.

Yes the image is TinyIDE in 9.05 Mac.

Also the part of code that copies in the controls to the scroller did not change from v1.0 to v1.1.

What happens when you toggle the monitor 1 button... do you get the controls back?

Can you start a thread on this in the TinyIDE bugs forum please http://2108.co.uk/forum/?view=forum&id=4

Why not.. it will be a good exercise for the grey matter!

Ive been in Germany for about 5 years now and really like it here. Very friendly people.. took a while to get used to the more aggressive driving style though

Hope to do the German Citizen test late this year..Aber mein deutsch ist immer noch schlecht.

What OS and LC version are you using TinyIDE on?

Oh and Ive added a intro video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjLg33Lo4OA

Hi Andy,

Congratulations for this great work! You have joined a very select group
of LiveCode Profesional Developers who have build their own interface
for the development engine. Among them: Klaus, Richard, Kevin and
many, many more.

Could you create a compatible version with last version of LC7?
By the way, you webpage will load faster if you change the
1440x900 animated gif with a slideshow of smaller png or jpg
images.

Keep Up your great work!

Al

Ah HA! I knew eventually I'd find this thread ! Andy, you are one tough person to get a hold of, so I really hope you see this here as so far I've failed to get you elsewhere ;) I'll quote myself from elsewhere (turning my head and throwing my voice)
bogs from various mediums...Part 1 wrote: First of all, I want to say marvelous job on it as a whole.

I noticed a few things while running it. Like Mikey, I noticed that when starting, it is stretched across the entire screen, like so...
Image
Opening Tiny IDE...

... however it is easily remedied by clicking on the 1 monitor.
Image
After clicking on monitor 1

If you look closely at the first pic, you may also notice that only the widgets from the Lc toolbox show up, none of the controls do. However, the toolTips *do* show up when you hover over where the tools should be...
Image
No Tools...
Image
Tooltip still shows...

Other than those small issues, everything else that I tested worked and worked well. Very nice.

These pics and tests were run on Linux Mint v18, xfce desktop, 1920 x 1080 monitor resolution.

The Lc environments tested were 8.1.3 and the 9.0 DP 6. For the issues I saw, I doubt hardware played a part, but if you want a listing, will be happy to provide it.
However, I finally figured out (at least in my case), what was causing the issues with the controls not showing up, and wanted you to know about it in case it -
a.) turns out to be an easy fix for you to implement or
b.) it can help others who, like me find a lot of the concepts of your IDE fascinating (but can't wait for the fix).
bogs from various mediums...Part 2 wrote:I found some additional information about the above small issues that I wanted to make sure you were aware of.

In Lc, I had turned off the widgets part of the tool palette to save space (as you know from my posts on Lc's forum about the size differences between previous issues of livecode and later releases).

Well, apparently if you turn widgets off in the tool palette, that is all that displays in TinyIDEs tool section, as the pictures above show. However, if you turn those widgets back on in Lc's tool palette, voila the controls all reappear in TinyIDE's tool section, just as your pictures show !

I thought you might like to know, although I only tested this on Linux so far, I would guess it is probably the same on other platforms.
I'd be interested to know if it really is that simple, and hope you, mikey, and the others will confirm this. I surely hope it helps you out, and would like to echo capellan's, klaus's, and everyone elses congratulations on a very nice solution.

Hi bogs, thank you for your observations and comments.

Apologies for the late reply, I had 10 days away from any internet and tech...not easy but refreshing!

I will be carrying out some more testing on Linux Mint and will post the results here.

Is there anything you can think of that you would like to see added to TinIDE?

Well, the only other 'gotcha' I've been able to find (so far) is that when you open Lc 8 or higher, this Lc rss feed thing comes up under the main toolbar/menu bar. The rss thing is actually pretty nice, however it appears that it throws off TinyIDEs placement routine, first picture in my post above.

The 'gotcha' is that sometimes Tiny won't open with the home and 2 monitors on screen, and I haven't found any 'grab' areas on Tiny (are there any?), so you have to close it and open again. I'd say some kind of grab area might be nice since Tiny doesn't show itself in my taskbar (Linux and most other Oses allow you to right click the tab / move / resize, but not if there isn't a taskbar tab ;) ).

I can understand why you wouldn't want a grab area on this, after all, it is very Tiny and serves its purpose well in that vein, and I may just not be figuring out something that already exists. I think some method of grab will be desirable even if you completely correct that issue, and if I am just missing it please feel free to let me know :)

Glad to see you back, hope everything went well for you during your absence from the world wide time waster :D
