.setup.exe is giving startup problems

Hello,

with 7.0.0 i had the problem that several .setup.exe were loaded during startup, preventing the livecode application to startup.
Renaming the .setup.exe file solved this.

Now with 7.0.1 rc2 .setup.exe startsup once and is causing livecode to keep checking directories while creating an apk.
renamed .setup.exe again and also this solved it.

anyonw knows why .setup.exe is being loaded while starting up the livecode application?

Hi,

.setup is loaded because it checks for updates. Unfortunately, something is wrong and if you turn off update checking in the preferences, the script that starts .setup may still be executed. Also, with every new install, the updating preferences are inadvertently reset to allow checking for updates.
