[ANN] tmControl2 First Release
It's been many long months, dozens of nights without sleep, and gallons of coffee, but I'm happy to announce the first release of tmControl2, my next gen custom control set for LiveCode. This first release is for iOS and includes 20+ controls, an icon library of both glyphs and images, a blur external to create elegant iOS7 effects, an examples stack, and documentation.
A demo is available, and a $10 new-release discount is offered for 1 week.
Read more about it here: http://tmtools.tactilemedia.com/tmcontrol2/
Re: [ANN] tmControl2 First Release
Just a note to mention that the $10 discount for tmControl2 ends this weekend at midnight on Sunday PST.
Information about the package is available here: http://tmtools.tactilemedia.com/tmcontrol2

Re: [ANN] tmControl2 First Release
How do we go about buying tmTools. The website says the storefront is being rebuilt but has been like this for ages?
Re: [ANN] tmControl2 First Release
A number of site issues caused by a host server update were only recently fixed, including the storefront.
The site links should be working now. I would suggest trying the demo files first and see if they work for you.

Hi Scott,
I just tried to download your demo, but the zip file was empty. Also, I can confirm that the ordering part of the site is still not working.
Thanks,

Will investigate the demo files, but what is not working with the storefront?
Several orders have been successfully completed during the past week, and the order link appears to be properly launching Paypal.

Re: [ANN] tmControl2 First Release
Hi Again,
I can't even get to the storefront. The following text is displayed: "The Tactile storefront is currently being rebuilt. Please check back at the end of November."
Thanks,

Re: [ANN] tmControl2 First Release
Scott you may have sorted out the storefront but the 'software' page on your website is still non-functional...
"...this is not the code you are looking for..."
Re: [ANN] tmControl2 First Release
Correct -- most all of the tools are being rewritten/rebuilt. I could update the tmControl link, but frankly I'd prefer that most of the reported 7.x issues get resolved first.
Re: [ANN] tmControl2 First Release
The link to the demo file should be working now, available via the tmControl2 page.

Re: [ANN] tmControl2 First Release
I know Scott doesn't need any unsolicited plugs, but let me say that I have several mobile/skinning frameworks in my toolbox, but tmc, and now tmc2 are the only ones I deploy with. That happened because someone walked into my office, using one of the apps I built with a different framework, saw an app I was skinning with tmc2, and threw a fit because the tmc2 app was gorgeous and the one he was using, well, wasn't.
Now that the source to tmc2 is unlocked, when I have something I want to add or change in tmc2, I'm able to do that, because Scott can't think of everything, and I am definitely a challenging customer.
He also has a couple of other tools that you should grab (tmAlign, in particular, is a good addition).
